Road Safety Week talk with guest PSCO Dianne Bell

Our Key Stage 2 pupils had a road safety talk during Road Safety Week to remind them how to stay safe outside as a pedestrian.

Our local PCSO Dianne Bell and the road safety team engaged the children with questions, prizes and even a real life pedestrian crossing to try out.

From zebra crossings to toucan crossings, the year groups learnt about the different types of crossings and how to use them. However, the road safety message the pupils gained was vital: STOP, LOOK, LISTEN, THINK.

Year 6 pupil Mckenzie Cooke said: "It's really great that we have talks like this; it reminds all of us that staying safe when crossing the road is really important."

As a school, we look forward to welcoming future visitors to help our young people be ready for the big wide world.
