Pilgrim Tennis Experience

Recently, children across the school have been given the opportunity to be taught tennis skills by a specialist tennis coach.

They have learnt tennis terms such as, forehand, backhand, volley and half-volley and have practised using these different techniques.

Before this visit, many children had never taken part in tennis or taken an interest in watching the sport; however, children thoroughly enjoyed this new experience, with many of them expressing that they hope to play more tennis in the future.

Brooke Swift, chosen as a tennis star by coach Luke Kershaw, commented that she enjoyed practising the different shot techniques and she is looking forward to playing more games in the future.
