Wodewoses Win KS1 and KS2 Sports Day

Effort, fun and determination show on the faces of Lexi Allen, Harvey Hynes, Leycoln McLaughlin and Caitlyn Findley during their sprint race at the KS1 Sports Day.

Wodewoses triumphed on KS1 and KS2 Sports Day. It consisted of a KS1 competition in the morning, followed by a KS2 competition in the afternoon and students took part in 12 events throughout the day.

The events included: a space hopper race, a sprint race, the standing long jump, a sack race, vortex throwing and skipping. There were also team challenges - such as the bean bag relay and the cricket wicket throw - where children had to use team skills to achieve their best score!

There were some extremely close outcomes throughout the day, with students working to the best of their ability to gain as many points for their house as possible.

Many thanks to all the children for taking part and showing good sporting behaviour, to the parents for supporting the event and to the student Sports Leaders from Tollbar Academy who assisted P.E. staff on the day.

Concentrating and showing good aim is Cody Gibson. Fellow competitors are: Left to right, Jacob Clark, Mackenzie Parker, Poppy Walker, Alfie Twells, Lexi Hynes, Zayne Khan and Cody Gibbard.

That looks on target Lily Hooker!

Taking off is Kian Foskett, and Olivia Emery was soon up and off too!
