Lunch And Online Panto To Celebrate Christmas

Pilgrim Academy pupils enjoyed Christmas lunch in their favourite Christmas jumpers and watched an online version of ‘The Snow Queen’ performed by Image Theatre Company.

With so many events cancelled due to Covid restrictions this year, the visit of the theatre company would have been sadly missed. But the company provided some activities to do, including learning some of the songs to engage the children’s interest, before watching the online production.

Year 2 Teacher Mel Portlock said:  “The pupils enjoyed making crafts for the pantomime, including making snowballs out of wool. They enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner and wore their Christmas clothes for the day. It was a really nice festive celebration.”
