Music Lessons Help Children Through Lockdown

Throughout lockdown, Reception children have continued their Charanga lessons both at home and in school with Miss Evans.

This term we have been using glockenspiels and body percussion. The children have been learning to play along with well-known songs such as: Old Macdonald, Incy Wincy Spider and Wheels On The Bus.  

Alongside this, the children have continued to improve their singing skills and also started to develop their listening and appraising skills, to comment on songs from different eras of music, from Robbie Williams to the Beatles or even The Planets Suite by Holst.

All children who get involved are developing a real flair for music.
