Making Easter Bonnets with their grandparents had children at Pilgrim Academy up at the crack of dawn with excitement. The children in Foundation Stage One invited their grandparents into the school to take part in the activity with them.

Gill Smith joined her three-year-old grand-daughter Holly Chapman. She said: "It has been lovely. It is a great idea to see what Holly is up to."

Holly said : "I liked having grandma here. She has enjoyed it."

Yvonne Steeper joined grand-daughter Ruby-Rose Besson (4). She said: "I have loved it. It is nice that all the children joined in and it is lovely for the children to mix with older people."

Penny Hodson spent time with her grand-daughter Darcy Rodgers (4). Penny said: "It's been good fun making Easter bonnets. This is the first time I have been into the academy. Darcy was up at 6:30am all excited because I was visiting."
